Andrea’s Quilt

Summer is really hanging on this year, isn’t it?  An August Bank holiday with glorious sunshine!  Well, I’m not complaining, but I am looking forward a little bit to the arrival of cooler days and nights, putting away the summer dress patterns and getting back into the quilting…

I wanted to share with you too this fantastic quilt by a customer of ours called Andrea:

Can you BELIEVE it’s her first ever quilt?  It used a charm pack of Madrona Road, 40cm of border fabric, 1/2m of white for sashing, 110cm fabric for the back, a small packet of wadding and 5m of cotton binding, and it looks absolutely marvellous!  Our Madrona Road range is still on sale in our online shop, although parts of it are selling out now, so if you’d like some, don’t leave it too long!

We are happy to make up similar “kits” for any customers who would like them – just drop us an email at

Blog posts are like buses

You wait over a month for one, and then get two within a week.

Still, this one couldn’t wait. Yesterday I booked the Marsden Mechanics Hall for another pop-up shop, on 10th August from 10am – 2pm. That’s only one week away – hope to see you there!
