Nearly time for a bargain!

It’s only a few days now until our big closing down sale!  We’re hard at work putting together the last few scrap bags, bundles, Peg Doll kits and more.  It’s sad, but still always a bit exciting to put these together for you.  Hope to see you all soon!

Good news and bad news…

The good news is we are having a huge sale on Sunday 27th October, at the Marsden Mechanics Hall, from 10am – 2pm, with ALL fabric ranges heavily reduced in price.

Sadly, the bad news is that it’s a closing down sale.  We will continue to sell our remaining stock online after this final sale but there will be no new ranges, and once it’s all gone, we’ll be closing down our website and shutting up shop.  Thank you so much for all your support over the past year or so – we have learned a great deal, met wonderful people, and enjoyed ourselves immensely.  It’s been an invaluable experience!

We hope to see you on Sunday 27th to grab the last, best bargains we can offer you.  Get them while you can!

All stock now available online!

Just to let you all know, we now have ALL our stock available online, both at our Folksy shop and at our own website shop!  That includes our two newest ranges from Riley Blake: Indie Chic, featuring simple patterns in a restrained colour palette of mustards and teals, and the delightfully bohemian Serenata, strewn with exotic blooms and peacocks.

These items are full price at £3 per fat quarter or £12 per metre, but remember we also have Out to Sea, Madrona Road and now Willow and Dress Up Days on sale at £2.50 per fat quarter or £10 per metre – bargain!

Online Bargains for your Autumn Crafting

Hello all! As some of you may well have noticed, we’ve been having a spot of teething trouble with our website shop lately – don’t worry, no orders have gone astray, but we’re having some difficulty making sure that all available items show up on searches etc.

To make things easier for all our customers therefore, we’re going to re-list our products on Folksy for now, starting with all our lovely sale fabrics.  You can find them here:

http://folksy.com/shops/materialgoodsonline

…I plan to be adding to them for the rest of today, and barring accidents we should have all our fabrics available there by the end of the week.  Happy shopping!

Andrea’s Quilt

Summer is really hanging on this year, isn’t it?  An August Bank holiday with glorious sunshine!  Well, I’m not complaining, but I am looking forward a little bit to the arrival of cooler days and nights, putting away the summer dress patterns and getting back into the quilting…

I wanted to share with you too this fantastic quilt by a customer of ours called Andrea:

Image

Can you BELIEVE it’s her first ever quilt?  It used a charm pack of Madrona Road, 40cm of border fabric, 1/2m of white for sashing, 110cm fabric for the back, a small packet of wadding and 5m of cotton binding, and it looks absolutely marvellous!  Our Madrona Road range is still on sale in our online shop, although parts of it are selling out now, so if you’d like some, don’t leave it too long!

We are happy to make up similar “kits” for any customers who would like them – just drop us an email at info@materialgoodsonline.co.uk.

Blog posts are like buses

You wait over a month for one, and then get two within a week.

Still, this one couldn’t wait. Yesterday I booked the Marsden Mechanics Hall for another pop-up shop, on 10th August from 10am – 2pm. That’s only one week away – hope to see you there!
